In 1982 Fritz Sieber founded the firm of Simba Toys with his son Michael and 5 members of staff. Thanks to well-thought out corporate integration, the SIMBA DICKIE GROUP today combines several successful, independent companies, which all cover different toy segments.
The Group has comprised since
- 1993 Dickie Toys
- 1998 Eichhorn
- 1999 Schuco
- 2001 Noris Spiele
- 2004 BIG
- 2006 Nicotoy
- 2008 Smoby
With over 1,000 employees and centralised head offices in Fürth (the centre of the German toy industry) and Hong Kong, the Group is one of the world’s biggest toy manufacturers.
In 1985 the first offices in Hong Kong were established. The international direction opened up for the Group the overseas sales market, which since 2006 has produced more than half the total sales. Today, the SIMBA DICKIE GROUP has branches in over 20 countries in Europe, Scandinavia, Asia and the USA.
The Group’s range of toy products by now comprises more than 3,000 articles. A modern logistics centre with around 75,000 square metres of floor space in Germany alone distributes toys all over the world.
